Friday, 24th August 2001 - RAF Waddington confirmed as test site

RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire has been secured as an official test site for the Windjet craft with speed trials taking place in the very near future. One of the largest RAF bases in the country, Waddington is home to the Nimrod and AWACS aircraft.


Monday, 20th August 2001 - Richard Jenkins and Windjet introduced to the Duke of Edinburgh

Pilot Richard Jenkins and the Windjet land craft today met Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, at the SP Systems facility on the Isle of Wight. SP Systems are leaders in composite technology and are Windjet Technical Partners.

The craft will be displayed at the main SP facility in Newport on the Isle of Wight alongside racing cars and other composite vehicles for the remainder of the week while SP present a number of seminars in advanced composite technology. Please note these are private seminars and are not open to the public. Opportunities for the public to view the Windjet craft, will be unveiled in the very near future!
