To date, the Windjet land vehicle holds the British Wind Powered Land Speed Record with an officially recorded speed of 113.4 mph (181.4 km/h)

The necessary modifications are currently being made to the Windjet land vehicle to make a challenge on the Ice Record during the winter of 2002/03

The long awaited water vehicle has undergone an extensive test programme including free-sailing scale model testing and wind tunnel testing in the Donald Campbell Wind Tunnel at Imperial College in London - the same tunnel used by Campbell to test the 'Bluebird' vehicles

The progress of the entire project has been captured on video by BHP Sport (Windjet's Official Video Footage Capture and Production Partner) in order to produce a documentary. BHP are experts in 'mini-cam' hardware and specialise in filming in hostile locations. They are responsible for Volvo Ocean Race, World Rally Championship and Formula-1 mini-cam footage

Windjet has reached this advanced stage without the financial support of a Title Sponsor. The project has only been able to evolve due to the invaluable support provided by the Iron Bed Company and its owner, Simon Notley, along with the support of our Technical Partners who provide equipment and expertise to the project.
