I have to disagree (in part). The content of the site certainly puts most corporate sites to shame - but then it should do as it's such an exciting project. The graphical look of the site is not so good (imho). The grey background does you no favours, and the frames make everything look a bit claustrophobic at 800X600 resolution. I appreciate that it is to mimic the look of the land craft, but I think there are neater ways of doing it. There is too much movement going on on the pages - I would recommend sticking to one animated item per section. The sponsors scrolling list, and and sponsors page look poor as the images appear to have been taken directly from the websites and retain a multitude of coloured backgrounds - why not ask your sponsors for logos with a transparent background? I'm sure most will have them available.

The other thing is the news section - Why not put short headings in instead of the whole article? There is a wealth of information there, but it is so long and text heavy that it may put people off. There are some great pre-written web scripts that will do this for you, it all depends on your web-server platform of course, but there are scripts available in cgi, php, asp, and Javascript - try www.developer.com or www.javascripts.com for tips and advice.

I hope you don't take these critisisms as anything other than constructive as that is the way they are intended - I think your team have put a lot of very good ideas into the site, it just needs that graphical polish that separates the good amateur sites from the professional.
