Akrotiri Salt Lake is a couple of miles across I think, but might not be clear enough. It has the great advantage of being on a peninsular and thus having good inshore beazes from either the East or West. When I sailed there a few years back you could expect a F5 onshore wind nearly every afternoon during the summer months.
