We have found a great location for the water record attempt. It is called "The Ditch" and is located in South Padre, Texas. Texas is one of the windiest states in the USA and that has nothing to do with the amount of beans the cowboys eat. The Ditch is very calm under the prevailing wind conditions and the wind is very reliable during April and May, regularly blowing over 35knots at the Ditch location.

We are setting up for another go at the record in April 2003, so will have the WSSR council observers there to validate the attempt. If you would like to share the location with us for a two month period, then we can have the observers there for longer, have a better chance of hitting the right conditions and keeping all the gear in one piece for the magic run.
