Excellent performance but control issues to sort |

After repairing the outrigger wheel, we re-assembled the craft on Saturday 15th September. Light winds built to 18-20 mph in the afternoon, which are perfect testing conditions. After 3 high speed runs, all between 85 & 90 mph, the light began to fade and we packed up for the night. This performance shows the craft can easily achieve multiples of 4.5 times the true wind speed (withoujt all its fairings), which is easily enough to break the current record. However, wing control at top speed is still not as precise as I would like it. More details on this shortly, but the outcome is that the wing control needs to be addressed before higher speeds are attempted. Not having precise control of the power applied could easily destroy the vehicle at top speed, so prudence is required here, no matter how tempting it is to take it out in stronger winds.
