At this time, the Windjet team are only aware of two other ice boating teams chasing John D. Buckstaff's 145 mph (232 km/h) record, although we are informed that boats similar to the one in which Buckstaff set his record in 1943 still run regularly in Wisconsin, USA.

 Insanity

Daniel Clapp's Ice yacht, "Insanity" has regularly recorded very high speeds in the USA. Daniel holds five World Championship Ice Yachting titles and is famed for designing and building his own vehicles using the latest concepts and materials.

 Miss Wisconsin

Daniel Kampo and his team are planning to challenge the ice speed record in their yacht "Miss Wisconsin" in addition to their land record bid. Kampo predicts the ice variant will reach speeds in excess of 200 mph (322 km/h).
