The New Windjet Craft - On Ice!

The team can now reveal that we are on a frozen lake in Southern Alberta, with an all-new Windjet Vehicle! The vehicle is designed travel on land and ice and has been constructed over the last six months at the team's base in Hampshire, UK.

The Craft is the culmination of everything we have learnt over the last three years of testing and the 3000 miles clocked up in the original prototype. Built in Carbon / Kevlar, the vehicle is rated to temperatures ranging from +40 deg C to -40 Deg C, and statically load tested to speeds in excess of 200 mph.

Initial ice tests have been very successful, with very few teething problems, normally expected from such a high tech vehicle. However, the wind-up to full speed will be a slow and cautious process, testing and evaluating all aspects of the craft before pushing it to the limit.

Full details of the craft, location and progress to be revealed here very shortly.
