Windjet heads for Keho

The recent cold spell has sealed the fate of St. Mary's reservoir for the Windjet team; the cracks that appeared during the set-up a week ago have only increased in size making the surface unusable for high speed runs. However, a new lake in southern Alberta has presented itself as a possible venue; Lake Keho, 19 miles (30 km) north of the team's new base in Lethbridge, Alberta.

Keho is renowned for it's excellent windsurfing during the "soft" water season as it is still within the Chinook zone, providing the winds Windjet requires to get up to speed.

The Windjet vehicle was packed up on Monday 21st January in a snow flurry and hauled into Lethbridge in preparation for the move to Keho. The current cold weather system sitting over much of Canada is pushing temperatures in southern Alberta down as low as -25 °C while also suppressing the usually strong winds, although the winds are due to pick up towards the end of this week.
