Windjet Under Wraps!

Support continues for the Windjet team in Thunder Bay from Milani Outdoor Fabrics who have manufactured custom covers for the Windjet ice vehicle.

			Just as ice build-up disrupts the smooth flow of air over an aircraft wing, the air flow over Windjet's single vertical 'wing' sail is disturbed by ice in the same way.

Traditionally, the team would have to spend half and hour de-icing the vehicle prior to running but the new wing sleeves, manufactured by Milani of Thunder Bay, prevent ice build up and hence protect the vehicle from damage during de-icing while also significantly reducing the time needed to 'rig' the craft.

Milani undertake work in all fields of outdoor fabric; from tent construction and repair to the manufacture of custom designed covers for boats, cars, trailers and wind powered world speed record ice yachts!
